Despite Mother Nature’s worst, the 22nd annual Landscapes for Landsake art sale and exhibition was a tremendous success.
Featuring the work of 68 artists, including featured artist Eden Compton, the event garnered nearly 8,000 online views and over 1,000 visitors to the live exhibition. In all, 247 works of art were sold for a record total of $135,043, with 53% of customers being first-time buyers.
This year’s event also featured the first-ever Speaker Series, thanks to a Community Arts Grant from the Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council (LARAC). Eden Compton, Matt Chinian, Harry Orlyk, and Takeyce Walter each took time to share their inspiration, vision, and process.
We are extremely grateful to Klara Varosy who returned to curate her second Landscapes for Landsake for ASA no comma here as well as to the 70+ volunteers who helped in ways both big and small.
Many thanks to the artists, sponsors, volunteers, and patrons for making it a huge success!
We'd also like to give an extra special shout-out to the Sconzo family for hosting us again this year. We are so grateful!
The Speaker Series was made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrant Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by the LARAC.
