This year’s farm-to-table event will commemorate ASA’s 35th Anniversary, highlight our recent land conservation achievements, and honor ASA’s 2025 Conservation Champion, John N. Umlauf, and the incomparable Janet Britt.
John Umlauf’s passion to leave a “Legacy of Safety” has led to his championing ASA’s popular Game of Logging series. Over the past 10 years, John has personally sponsored this chainsaw safety training course, helping to ensure that working lands are safely managed by skilled stewards. John has graciously sponsored 56 full scholarships of the 114 men and women who have graduated from this world-recognized training curriculum.
Janet Britt recently retired from ASA after 18 remarkable years of service. In 2006, she joined our team working with easement landowners to protect the conservation values of their land. Janet also led our efforts on farm viability, soil health, and farm succession. She has built incredible relationships with these farm families over the years and feels it has been one of the most rewarding aspects of her time at ASA. Please join us in toasting Janet and her stewardship legacy at ASA!
