Become a 2016 ASA business sponsor and reach a great audience!

IMG 8942Sponsoring ASA's events and programs is a great way to demonstrate your committment to protecting local farmland while promoting your company to a wide audience of people who care about the future of our community. It's a good deal for everyone!

This year we are pleased to offer four great sponsorship opportunities to support our community programming. We offer a generous package of sponsorship benefits for each of our events and programs and are confident that our members will recognize and appreciate your investment.

Landscapes for Landsake

ASA’s Landscapes for Landsake Art Exhibition, now in its 15th year, celebrates the beautiful working landscapes of the region. The show is a highlight of the community calendar for the Columbus Day weekend and attracts more than 1,500 art buyers from all over the Capital Region, the North Country, Vermont and Western Massachusetts. Becoming a sponsor of Landscapes for Landsake will provide your business with targeted exposure and recognition by people who appreciate our community, value the many benefits our farms provide and are committed to supporting the local economy.

Make a Connection with the Land

The goal of this program is to encourage an appreciation for the working landscape and a desire to protect it. Every year we provide families with the opportunity to visit some of the farms we’ve helped conserve to learn about what makes them so special. Your sponsorship allows us to offer programs to area residents and to our more urban communities, such as Troy. In our Make a Connection with the Land series we will offer between 15 and 18 community programs, including Farm Photography for Kids, Gleaning for local food pantries, Nature Hikes, Bike Tours, Farm Tours, and Educational Workshops. Help us provide some terrific programs this year.

Forever Farmland Supper

Each summer, ASA hosts a sell-out dinner to honor the families who’ve conserved their land. Our Forever Farmland Supper gives the community a festive opportunity to come together and celebrate these families over a delicious, locally sourced meal. By treating the landowners and their family members to dinner and underwriting the event, your sponsorship enables us to show our community’s appreciation for their foresight.

Fostering Farms & Farmers

Protecting farmland and fostering a next generation of farmers must go hand in hand, because without farmers the many benefits that farms provide to our community will dwindle. Help us offer several programs to provide support to farmers. Through the Hudson Valley Farmland Network, ASAs serves as a resource to match beginning farmers seeking land with landowners looking to lease or transfer their land to the next generation. In addition to workshops on estate planning and leasing options, ASA also offers trainings for young and beginning farmers on business planning, wholesale marketing opportunities and peer-to-peer mentoring in partnership with SUNY Adirondack and Cornell Cooperative Extension.

Unique Opportunities in addition to your business sponsorship

Sponsor a Student Internship

Each summer, ASA offers paid internships to students and recent graduates. The ASA internship program helps students cultivate skills through real-life experiences. Interns work on various projects and programs based on need and interest. Your sponsorship helps local students gain resume building experiences.

Provide a Scholarship for the Game of Logging

Help a local farmer or landowner learn to steward their forested land safely. The Game of Logging is widely acknowledged as the premier chainsaw safety and productivity training program in the country, offering hands on chainsaw safety training in a competitive environment. Top instructors combine demonstration with participation to teach chainsaw safety, productivity, conservation and cutting techniques. Your sponsorship helps make this program more affordable for farmers.

Join the Forever Farmland Supper Honorary Committee

As a committee member, we’ll be askign you to do a few things. First, we’re asking you to “buy” a table for the event. At $60 per ticket, that means $600 per table. Second, and even more important, we need your IDEAS, your ENTHUSIASM, and your CREATIVITY. (No cooking or washing dishes required!)
